Recap: Vancouver Chapter Student Night

The CPABC Vancouver Chapter hosted a CPA student night on March 14, 2019 at Herbs and Spices Cafe.  Over 60 CPA members, students and candidates were in attendance.

The event was emceed by June Lee and Christine Woodington (vice-chair of the chapter).  The evening featured a panel discussion with six CPAs sharing their CPA journey including CPABC staff Suzanne Berry talking about the CPA student experience and how to find a CPA Mentor.

Panelist included: Laurence Ling from Telus, Jason Yip from PwC, Enrique Arce from Capilano University, Denise Wong from KPMG, Tyson Paris from Not-For-Profit Child-Care Organization and Lindsay Kaminsky from BDO.

And, there was an opportunity for people to have their headshot photo taken by a professional photographer for use in their social media, compliments of the CPABC Vancouver Chapter.

The chapter hosts a variety of events throughout the year including social networking, student nights, community engagement and local chapter PD.  Come out and take part in any of these events.  And, if you want to volunteer, contact your chapter chair and express your interest to get involved.
