CPABC has 18 member forums that create communities for CPA members with shared interests.
The purpose of these forums is to provide opportunities for like-minded CPA members to get together on a regular basis to discuss matters of interest. Forums are sorted by areas of practice (public practice), industry sectors (construction or mining, etc) or by interest (young professionals).
To join a forum you must be a CPABC member. And, some forums are restricted to members who meet criteria (such as members licensed for public practice). While most forums are free, some forums do charge a nominal fee to cover venue costs.
If you are interested in technology matters, then consider the Vancouver Technology Forum which provides members with information on computer software, hardware, and other technology-related topics. This forum meets on Thursdays for a two-hour session nine times per year. An annual nominal fee will be charged.
