Members and their guests then made their way to the stadium to watch the game.

BC Lions fans were cautiously optimistic when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers held a razor thin 12-11 lead at half time. By the opening of the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 22 each and the fans were gripped with excited tension. The Lions looked like this could be their night for a home field win when they scored a spectacular touchdown pass putting them ahead by 7. Unfortunately, a costly turnover and a couple of errors gave Winnipeg the opportunity to put the game away with a close 35-32 win over the Lions.

Despite the disappointing loss, members, CPA students and their guests still enjoyed the evening especially the chance to networking with their peers. Members wishing to watch other games can take advantage of member savings through the CPABC Member Benefits program.

Upcoming CPABC professional sports networking events are planned including a game night with the Vancouver Canucks in the winter followed by the Vancouver Whitecaps in the summer.

Bring a friend or colleague and cheer on our home teams!
