CPABC, in collaboration with the CPABC Vancouver Chapter, are hosting a networking and information session about The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – BC & Yukon Division (“The Award”) on October 23, 2018 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at the CPABC office at Harbour Centre in Vancouver.

The Award is a self-development leadership framework open to young people aged 14 to 24, regardless of background, circumstances or abilities.  Participants develop and achieve goals in four activity areas: skill development, volunteering, physical activity, and an adventurous journey in nature.

This event is open to members and their children who might be interested in The Awards as well as current participants and alumni of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (members, CPABC students and achievers who have completed the Bronze, Silver or Gold Level of The Award – be sure to wear your pins).  Other guests interested in supporting the program are also welcome to attend to find out more.

There will be brief introductory remarks from Stacey Lee CPA CA (Vancouver Chapter – Secretary and Community Outreach Chair), John-Andrew Pankiw-Petty (President of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – BC & Yukon Division), Sarah Tanaka CPA CA (partner at KPMG and Silver award alumnus) and Matthew Chiang (currently a Gold level participant and pictured above with The Honourable Janet Austin, the Lieutenant Governor of BC).

Attend this complimentary family friendly reception to:

– Meet other Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award alumni;

– Meet with The Award staff to find out more about how you or your children can get involved in The Award; and

– Find out more about participating or supporting The Award in your workplace or community.

And, as a SPECIAL PARTNERSHIP, if you are ready to join The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – BC & Yukon Division as a participant, CPABC intends to become a partnering organization and will be organizing various social and personal development events throughout the year to connect participants with other like minded individuals.
