November Is National Financial Literacy Month

Spread the word about our free financial literacy sessions.

CPABC members can play an important role in advancing financial literacy by encouraging local schools, libraries, communities, and companies to host free 60-minute financial literacy sessions. CPA Canada has developed resources specifically developed for school children, young adults, seniors, new Canadians, and entrepreneurs. To benefit one or more of these groups, you can request a financial literacy session by emailing CPA Canada at More information can be found under the “Get Involved” tab of the chapter website.

Also, to celebrate National Financial Literacy Month, CPABC will be giving 40 complimentary copies of A Canadian’s Guide to Money Smart Living to participating CPABC members, candidates, and students. This award-winning guide explains how to make money management a part of daily life, with easy action steps and self-assessment checklists.

To receive a complimentary copy, all you have to do is be one of the first 40 people to tweet a financial literacy tip—just be sure to include the hashtags #CPAfinlitFLM and the handle @dchiang1, which will notify David Chiang, CPA, CA , CPABC’s vice-president of member services, of your tweet.
