October 3, 2016
The Upper Vancouver Island Chapter is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Chapter PD Event on October 3rd, 2016. We will be offering 2 seminars, The Science of Leadership and Ethics 24/7, you can attend one or both seminars.
Session 1: Science of Leadership and Teamwork
Research has shown that developing self-awareness and social awareness is critical in leadership and collaboration. But understanding self and other is complex. To be effective in our collaborative relationships we must clearly understand and value the diverse strengths and approaches of others. Harnessing cognitive diversity is an underutilized competitive advantage in leadership and teamwork.
This workshop will provide:
- an engaging overview of the fascinating science of cognitive diversity
- an explanation of a model for understanding and valuing different thinking preferences and how different approaches complement one another
- an explanation of teams and teamwork including a specific model to ensure high quality team decisions
- exercises that illustrate the concepts being addressed
Register early – seating is limited to 35 participants.
