Chapter Supports CPAEF Bursary Program

The CPA Education Foundation extends its appreciation to the CPABC Tri-Cities / Ridge Meadows Chapter and members for a $2,000 donation in support of student bursaries.

The CPAEF provides bursaries to students with financial need who are attending a BC post-secondary institution, CPA students taking preparatory courses or candidates enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program.   These bursaries provide much needed financial relief to students experiencing challenging financial situations enabling them to successfully complete their accounting education.

Applications for bursary are received throughout the year and evaluated in May and November.   Applications can be found on the CPAEF website under the tab “Helping Students”.

Brenda Waechter FCPA FCGA, CPAEF board chair said, “The CPA Education Foundation thanks the CPABC Tri-Cities / Ridge Meadows chapter members for their generosity in supporting local accounting students.”  She added, “this support will have significant impact on students who could otherwise not take courses due to financial constraints.”
