Involve and Inspire
Give back and get involved! Come volunteer at the Surrey Food Bank this summer!
The Surrey Food Bank was formed in June 1983. Over the last 34 years, the Surrey Food Bank Society has been dedicated to help people to get back on their feet in Surrey and North Delta. The organization currently distributes approximately 2,000 food hampers each week. It has expanded support to many other internal programs, agencies, and is affiliated with many different food security programs, such as the Food Action Coalition.
As volunteers are essential to the success of serving and helping the community, the Surrey Food Bank depends on volunteers for many different functions – from sorting and distributing food to representing the organization at community events, such as “Breakfast with the bank”. Volunteers can help the organization save money on costs and able to direct more of the donation to purchasing food.
WE NEED YOU!!
To show our appreciation, CPABC’s Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter has organized a dinner for all of the volunteers after the event. This is a great opportunity to mingle with other CPA members or students.
We are looking for 10 members/students to help out at this event. We hope to see you there!
