The Arts Club Theatre presents The Arts Club Series – The Piano Teacher at the Surrey Civic Theatre Main Stage on Friday, October 12th, 2018.
Come out and join CPABC Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter members and guests for a unique evening designed to expand your appreciation of Arts and Culture at a terrific local venue. This rare modern original play, written by Dorothy Dittrich and directed by Yvette Nolan, uses music as an additional member in the play to supplement the story telling.
The play explores themes on how music is intertwined into our day to day lives, and how sometimes music can take on a life of its own. We also invite you to stick around for dessert and coffee after the play, with a chance of actor sightings.
About the Show: The Piano Teacher
Erin, a concert pianist, hasn’t touched a piano since her husband died. As Elaine, a piano teacher, gently reacquaints Erin with her instrument, other life changes follow. A simple update to Erin’s home, for instance, brings the unexpected companionship of a contractor, Tom.
