We are pleased to have co-authors Vy Tri Truong and Edwin Palsma join us as they present topics from their book “Ambivert Journey: A Guide for Introverts”. They have created an entertaining and thought-provoking talk aimed at giving introverts effective tools in their daily interactions with others.
Introverts are typically quieter, shyer and less likely to be known in the business world. Extroverts are more out there, have a larger network and enjoy the busyness that comes with being around lots of people. Today, it seems that success in North American society requires a certain type of person where respect is given to those with the gift of the gab and charisma is the key that opens the right doors. These seem to be personality traits belonging exclusively to extroverts. But introverts don’t necessarily want to become extroverts.
It turns out that the ideal personality trait is a middle ground called “Ambivert”. Edwin and Vy Tri will talk about how it is possible to keep the best parts of being an introvert and add the required extroverted traits. The topic for this event will be “Introvert to Ambivert: How to be outgoing in business”. You will learn easy ways on how to small talk, introduce the ABCs of selling for introverts and most importantly, show you how to avoid being a “weirdovert”.
The evening’s program will entertain, inform and allow time for networking with your fellow colleagues and friends. Join us for a fun evening with a buffet dinner, great conversation, and some great door prizes!
