On June 9, 2019, 20 CPA members, candidates and students participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Terra Nova Park.

The team spent two hours in the morning cleaning the shoreline and adjacent part and collected 2.5 kg of plastics, 2 kg of discarded paper, and 0.8 kg of aluminum.  These items were bagged and sent to be recycled.

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation program that provides civic minded Canadians the opportunity to take action in their communities.

And it’s also a chance to connect with other members.  After the cleanup, the team headed for lunch and a chance to get to know each other better.

The chapter organizes several community events during the year.  Watch for events in the chapter email. And, if you want to volunteer for chapter activities, contact the chapter chair to express your interest.
