Summer is almost here. Join us on May 26th to increase your productivity in using Microsoft Excel and Outlook so that you can enjoy more time in the outdoors.

Microsoft Excel

This session will start off by learning Excel Shortcuts and tips and tricks on how to improve your day to day productivity. Some of the topics presented include navigation shortcuts, manipulating text and date values, date validation and customized sorting. Whether you are new to Excel or an experience user, Functions and Formulas are likely something you deal with everyday, we will cover the many common ones used by accounting and financial professionals with a focus on taming IF statements and getting the most from lookup and data functions. The session will also assist on how to deal with misbehaved formulas, what to do when we aren’t getting the expected results and take a look at the tools available that can help fix any problems.

Microsoft introduced their Power Tools – PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerView starting in Excel 2013. Let’s see what these Power Tools do and why more and more accounting and financial professionals are adding these skills to their reporting toolbox.

Microsoft Outlook

Many of us spend a good part of our day dealing with emails. Let’s take a look at how we can better manage Outlook to be more productive in our day. We will dive into many features of Outlook – calendars, tasks, contact lists, appointments and see how to better use them to manage our time and commitments.

You are welcome to bring your laptop to follow along. Please ensure your laptop is fully charged as power is not available at the tables. Please also note there will not be any assistance available during the presentation.

His focus includes reporting, business analytics and intelligence, helping companies in North America and internationally become more productive with information technology.
