Meet Your Chapter Board – Social Committee

Meet Your Chapter Board – Social Committee

Starting this month, we will be introducing our board members who volunteer their time  and work diligently to ensure the smooth operation of CPABC’s Richmond/South Delta Chapter events. The first featured committee is our social committee. These members are the masterminds behind all the fun social events that we host within our chapter.

Marlee Bennett, CPA, CGA

Marlee joined CPABC’s Richmond/South Delta Chapter in 2014.  She has a passion for giving back to the community and wanted to get involved with the organization, so joining the chapter board as a social committee director was a great fit. The part that Marlee likes most about being on the social committee is being able to meet new members, candidates and students who come out to the social events.  She also enjoys seeing returning faces that have enjoyed many of our social events in the past.  Marlee looks forward to planning many more fun events for our local students, candidates and members in coming months!

Xiao(Shoran)Ying Gui, CPA, CGA

Shoran likes participating in social events hosted by the chapter because she finds them fun. She enjoys the fun games, activities, and delicious food. What Shoran enjoys the most is meeting other members, students and candidates to share, learn and get to know more about each other. After participating in many chapter events over the last five years, Shoran wanted to give back to CPABC’s Richmond/South Delta Chapter with her time and passion. Fortunately, there was an opening in the social committee board last December, therefore, she decided to join as the newest member on the board. Shoran is proud to be a part of CPABC’s Richmond/South Delta Chapter and looks forward to organizing many more events and communicating with our local members and students.
