When preparing or reporting on external financial statements there are several accounting policies for contribution revenue to be considered. The deferral method, the restricted fund method as well as the option of fund presentation present significant differences in how the financial statements look and how the results are reported. It is important to consider these differences during the budgeting process to ensure all involved can consider how the operational decisions will affect the external reporting results.
This presentation is for any CPA with limited involved with a charity. The presentation is directed at:
