This workshop will provide an overview of the current economic climate, expectations of the approaching federal budget, considerations for retirement planning and tax efficient estate planning strategies. This session are for those who want to further their knowledge of retirement and estate planning strategies, be up to date with the current economic state, and for those who want to identify areas for further study of in-depth instruction.
While there are no formal pre-requisite requirements, participants should have a good understanding of basic corporate and personal income tax.
Topics covered will include:
- Economic Update, including expectations for upcoming budget
- Considerations for Retirement Planning
- Estate Planning – common pitfalls
- Transitioning wealth between generations – tax considerations
- Trusts and Insurance as useful financial tools
