Topic 1: Cultural Awareness in the Workplace
Participants will learn and reflect on the components that make up their culture and behaviors and their impact on performance in the workplace. They will also gain a strong understanding of the main culture theories and their practical application not only in the workplace but in their daily life. The seminar will include real-life situations, small case discussion and tips that are easy to understand and apply.
This seminar is aimed at a general audience who has an interest in understanding multiculturalism and its implications for oneself and for the workplace. Professionals in a general management role and, particularly, those in HR functions gain a solid foundation on why we behave we do and will learn techniques that will help them in managing cultural diversity in the workplace.

Topic 2 : HR 101 – A Roadmap for CPA Professionals in the Workplace – An Update
This seminar is aimed at CPA Professionals who want to enrich their knowledge on HR related issues as well as for those who have HR responsibilities and need to understand the fundamental principles of HR.

INSTRUCTOR: Enrique Arce
Enrique Arce, CPA, CMA, CPHR, MBA (Fullbright Scholar) is an instructor at Capilano University in Management, Finance, and Culture courses. He is also an In-class and long-distance facilitator for the CPA PREP Program. He held senior management roles in public and private companies in local and international organizations. In addition to teaching, he has a Business Consulting practice. In his free time, he is a soccer referee. He enjoys skiing and playing golf.
