Community Event: Richmond Maritime Festival

July 27, 2019 – We Need You – People Help People

CPABC Richmond/South Delta (RSD) Chapter members, students and candidates are invited to participate as a festival volunteer at the Richmond Maritime Festival!

Richmond Maritime Festival takes place on Saturday, July 27th and 28th from 11 AM to 6 PM at Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site.

Volunteer positions include:

  • Heritage Greeters
  • Kids Activities
  • Dock Safety Floater
  • Artist and Entertainment Assistants & more

Each shift is four hours long which takes place either in the morning or afternoon. Every volunteer will be trained and oriented prior to their shift. As a volunteer, you will receive a T-shirt, food, opportunity to expand your network and get more connected with your local community.

Volunteer Shifts:

  • Saturday, July 27 – 10:30 am – 2:30 pm OR  2:15 pm –  6:15 pm

There are two Information Sessions:

  • Wednesday, July 3rd: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, July 6th:  10:00 am – 11:00 am

And two Training Sessions:

  • Wednesday, July 17th: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, July 20th:10:00 am – 11:30 am

Volunteers should attend ONE of each session (one information session and one training session). Detailed information of both sessions are available on icanhelp.richmond.ca under Richmond Maritime Festival 2019.

For those who cannot make it to the sessions, we will pass along the training materials from the organizer.

We encourage you to join us in contributing to this special city-wide event while working with a personable team of staff and other volunteers.
