Speaker – Daphne Gray-Grant, principal of The Publication Coach, gives communications advice to corporations and provides support, advice and training to writers around the world. She is author of the bestselling book 8½ Steps to Writing Faster, Better and is nearing completion on another book, Start Write: Embracing Your Crappy First Draft. As a nationally ranked debater in university and a current high school debate coach, she knows all the tricks for making engaging presentations.

Session 2: How to Prepare for Your Annual Audit Review
This introductory seminar will provide guidelines for preparing for an audit/review by your external auditor/reviewer. It will outline documents and working papers you should have prepared, how they should be prepared, and the types of questions that you should be prepared to answer.
Topics covered will include:
- Documents to prepare for your external accountant or auditor,
- Ways to reduce your year end fees from your external accountant/auditor,
- How to anticipate new questions from your auditor/accountant, and
- Highlights of some new issues that are relevant to this process
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Who will benefit/should take this course:
- Members who are responsible for the preparation of information to be audited or reviewed by external auditors or accountants.
- Auditors/Accountants that have trouble getting their clients to provide them with appropriate information
Speaker, MICHAEL ELL, FCPA, FCGA, is a Public Practitioner and Consultant. Michael was the Primary Public Practice Reviewer for CGA-BC from 1999 to 2015, is an Associate of the CPA Canada Accounting Standards Board Private Enterprise Advisory Committee, and a member of the CPA Canada Practitioners Technical Advisory Board. He develops and facilitates courses on public practice issues, accounting standards, and the CPA Canada Handbook for the accounting profession. Besides providing services to small business clients, he focuses on providing monitoring, mentoring and standards consulting to accounting firms in BC and across Canada.
