First Annual COIN High School Competition

The first annual CPABC COIN Competition is now accepting registrations.

BC high school students are eligible to participate and show off their accounting acumen. The COIN competition consists of a 75 question multiple choice exam, focusing on introductory accounting concepts, written by the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.  The first-place winner will receive $1,500, the second place winner will receive $1,000, and the third place winner will receive $500. The 4th to 10th place winners will receive $100 each and all winners are invited to an Awards Ceremony and Luncheon on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Vancouver (exact location TBD).

When: Saturday, May 14, 2016 – 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Where: At locations across BC (students who register will be placed at a location closest to their school and notified of the location before the exam date).

 Please share this event information with your students. There is no limit on how many students can participate!
Registration: To sign up for the CPABC COIN Competition students must complete the online registration form found on our website at the link below. All students under 19 years of age must also complete and submit the Parental Agreement & Release form found on our website. Registration will be open Monday, March 21st at 9am.


The deadline to register and submit the parental release form is Friday, April 15, 2016 by 11:59 a.m.
