CPABC’s Okanagan Chapter hosted three Member Engagement Tour events which cumulatively attracted 135 members, CPA students and candidates.
On November 14, a MET dinner was held in Vernon at the Prestige Hotel & Conference Centre. The following day, on November 15, the MET travelled to Penticton for a breakfast event at Penticton Lakeside Resort and an evening reception in Kelowna at the Kelowna Yacht Club.
These METs were an opportunity for local members, CPA students and candidates to connect with the leadership of CPABC and to receive an update on the profession including discussion of key issues impacting professional accountants. Presenters included CPABC Board Chair Heather Banham FCPA FCGA, CEO Lori Mathison FCPA FCGA and executive vice-president Jan Sampson FCPA FCA.
Thank you to all the chapter organizers who helped plan and host these special events – in particular Amanda Dacko CPA (Vernon Sub-Committee Chair) and Judy Lloyd FCPA, FCMA (Director at Large).
