Okangan Chapter Continues Support of Local Accounting Students

The CPABC Okanagan Chapter has donated $6,300 to continue funding existing chapter awards at Okanagan College and UBC|Okanagan.  There are two $1,500 awards at the college and two $2,000 awards at the university.

In addition, three other chapters have also funded existing or new awards (with a cumulative donation of $10,300) at these post-secondary institutions across BC:

  • CPABC Kamloops / Cariboo Chapter donated $1,000 to fund an existing scholarship at Thompson Rivers University through to 2019/20;
  • CPABC Prince George Chapter has donated $1,000 to fund a new annual scholarship at the University of British Columbia (UNBC) through to 2019/20; and
  • CPABC Richmond/S.Delta Chapter donated $2,000 to fund a new $1,000 scholarship at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

All awards are adjudicated by the faculty of the respective institution. Recipients must demonstrate scholastic achievement, demonstrate community service or leadership, and have the intent to enter the Chartered Professional Accountant program.

Thank you to chapter members for your support of local PD programs which helped fund these awards for accounting students.
