This seminar provides four hours of ethics training and meets the four hour ethics CPD requirement. The seminar will be presented in two parts:

Seminar 1: Real Business Ethics and the CPA Mindset
In this session you will learn how to develop your ethical mindset, explain the breadth of business ethics today, help you understand where ethical risks may lie, and provide you with ideas and tools to integrate business ethics into your daily work and professional responsibilities.
Seminar 2: Ethical Dilemmas: The Thick Grey Line
This session will provide participants with opportunities to evaluate ethical scenarios in a variety of contexts that are realistic and representative of the CPA demographic (including industry, not-for-profit, public sector and public practice). Participants will increase their competence and confidence in interpreting and applying the CPA Code of Professional Conduct to real-life workplace challenges.

These seminars are for CPAs who are interested in encouraging an ethics-based culture within their organization and for members who enjoy an actively engaging seminar setting using small group discussions and interactive polling to analyze real-life ethical scenarios.
Our speaker, Roger Merkosky CPA, CA, will lead this seminar as an independent consultant/contractor. He recently served as Director of Regulation and Registrar for CPABC and has served as chair of the CPA Canada Continuing Professional Development Standing Committee. His previous experience includes more than ten years with a major public accounting firm, four years in the national office specializing in professional development and practice advisory services.
