Recap: 2017 MET in the Kootenays

Lori Mathison FCPA, FCGA presenting to members in Cranbrook

The 2017 Member Engagement Tour headed into the Kootenays with stops in Nelson on October 11 followed by Cranbrook on October 12.

The Kootenay MET provided local CPABC members, candidates and students an opportunity to hear provincial updates from Heather Banham FCPA FCGA (board chair), Lori Mathison FCPA FCGA (CEO) and Jan Sampson FCPA FCA (executive vice-president education and member engagement).

The Nelson MET was organized by the CPABC Kootenay West Chapter.  Thirty-four guests attended this dinner event which was held at the Adventure Hotel on Vernon Street.

The Cranbrook MET was held at the Heritage Inn on Cranbrook Street North and 44 guests attended this luncheon event organized by the CPABC Kootenay East Chapter.

Thank you to Mitch Rinas CPA CGA, Kootenay West Chapter chair, and Cecil Stoochnoff CPA CMA, Kootenay East Chapter chair, for their assistance in organizing the venues.

Your local chapters have more events planned so check out the chapter blogs and connect with local members, candidates and students at future events.  You can follow the MET on twitter using #cpabcMET.
