The CPABC Fraser Valley Chapter has made a donation of $1,000 to the West Coast Book Prize Society’s Adopt-A-Library Program.  This donation sponsors two local schools, Silver Creek Elementary and Hope Secondary, by providing these schools with funds to acquire books for their library or for their students.  Each book donated will have a commemorative book plate acknowledging the support of the adopting sponsor.

This year, the CPABC Fraser Valley Chapter was one of eight organizations which supported the Adopt-A-Library program.  Since 2007, the program has filled school libraries throughout the province with books of BC Book Prizes finalists; increased exposure for finalist authors and publishers; and inspired students to read and write.  Over $80,000 has been raised to support literacy in the classroom.

The chapter is delighted to support the West Coast Book Prize Society and to promote literacy with local schools.
