Are you interested in developing a network of powerful connections to enhance your career?
CPABC Burnaby / New Westminster Chapter invites ALL Students and Young Professionals in Lower Mainland to attend the Maximizing Networking Effectiveness Event. Come meet and be inspired by the networking professional.
While everyone wants to connect, most people aren’t quite sure how to connect. Learn how to make powerful connections to take your career to the next level. While many people say they network, the vast majority aren’t focused on the right things. Are you collecting business cards or are you building powerful connections to build your career?
Networking is about sharing, not taking. Active networking is vital to career growth. Often confused with selling, networking is actually about building long-term relationships and a good reputation over time. It involves meeting and getting to know people who you can assist, and who can potentially assist you in return. Your Network truly is your Net Worth. It is a source of knowledge, job opportunities, potential business opportunities, and so much more.
With attending the workshop, you will learn:
- How to generate fresh ideas: excellent resource of new perspectives and ideas on how to help you in your role;
- How to raise your profile: being visible and getting noticed which is essential in career building;
- How to access opportunities: expanding your contacts can open doors to new opportunities for business, career advancement and personal growth
- Advice and support: gaining the advice of experienced peers is an important benefit of networking. Discuss common challenges and opportunities.
