About the Speaker:
William (Bill) H. Cooper has a broad range of experience in tax and related corporate restructuring and finance matters. Bill’s tax experience includes a position with the Rulings Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the Senior Technical and Policy Branch of the CRA in Ottawa. In this role, he reviewed transactions of national importance and worked with senior officials of the Department of Finance and the Department of National Revenue developing tax policy and federal income tax legislation.
Bill is the co-editor and founder of Executive TaxBriefs, a monthly tax update publication for owner/managers and their financial advisors, and the co-founder of Tax and Financial Strategies, a case study program for controllers and public practitioners.
Today, Bill advises clients on estate planning matters and represents clients in tax disputes with the CRA and other taxation authorities.
